Ministry Description/Vision: The vision of Christ Community Baptist Church has been the vision of the church from the very beginning. As those redeemed by the blood of Christ, our vision is to bring God glory in all we do. The primary way we glorify God is by gathering together as a church to sing His praises, offer Him our prayers, hear His Word, and love and care for one another (John 13:34-35).

Ministry & Prayer Update
There may be an occasion for church discipline on the horizon unfortunately. We have a member who has not gathered for 15 weeks. I have made 3 personal attempts to follow up with her and each time I am informed she or someone in her family is sick. However, her sister is also a member of our church, and she informed us that she is absent not due to an inability to gather but due to a lack of desire. Her husband is an unbeliever, and we fear his lack of desire to go to church on Sunday has influenced his wife to no longer valuing or prioritizing the local church as well. Per our constitution and by-laws, I am sending her a letter this week imploring her to return to the fellowship, along with a heartfelt pastoral and gospel-centered plea; and also reminding her that at 26 weeks (6 months) of absence we must remove people automatically from membership. Please pray for her to repent of any unwillingness to gather and for her to obey Christ in not forsaking the assembling of the saints on the Lord's Day. She has not informed us of any reason as to why she would not gather, and we know from others in her family she is not gathering anywhere else. Pray we find the root cause of this sin and that she is restored back to obedience. We have tried to be very patient with her, and I want to always give the benefit of the doubt, but we are moving forward in our discipline process with the letter, and Lord willing that will reform her behaviors before we have to consider ex-communication.
